Now that professional medical marijuana is lawful in Thailand, farm owners are managing into a new issue. What do they do with the surplus of cannabis leaves?

As initial described by The Nation Thailand, a farming local community in close proximity to the northern Thai town of Lampang teamed up with researchers from Chiang Mai University’s College of Agriculture to see if chickens would advantage from excess cannabis leaves. The benefits were promising and could guide to farmers lowering their dependence on antibiotics when increasing chickens.

Per the The Nation Thailand, the farmers, who just happened to be certified to expand healthcare cannabis, put their chickens on this weed eating plan right after their flock was ravaged by avian bronchitis in spite of all of the birds becoming injected with antibiotics. Researchers stated that chickens were fed cannabis in unique forms, mixing it in with their feed or boiling the leaves and giving them the ensuing cannabinoid drinking water. The state remains stern in its recreational cannabis guidelines though, warning visitors and obtaining fines of up to $800 and three months in jail if persons are caught using tobacco or consuming hashish with an intent that is not medicinal.
